DESCRIPTION
Direct Support Professionals are essential members of our team.
The daily responsibilities of a DSP include:
Ensuring safety and happiness of our service recipients
Assisting our service recipients in reaching their goals
Accompanying service recipients to activities or out in
the community
Assisting service recipients with cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.
Doing personal cares such as toileting, grooming, and bathing
Implementing programming and/or redirecting maladaptive behaviors
Transporting service recipients to medical appointments
Administering medication
Modeling appropriate behavior at all times.
Thorough and accurate documentation
Ensuring the home is clean and meets licensing and safety requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Positive attitude
Great communication skills
High School Diploma / GED / equivalent
Valid U.S. driver's license
Clean driving record
Insured, safe, and reliable vehicle for work use
Background clearance as required by BCA and DHS
Eligibility to work in the United States
